Do you knnow new AV.

Lots of changes...some big, some small...where to begin...

As mentioned by others...Stormstrike Horde AV queues went from often upwards of 2 hours (2h11m my longest) to < 5 mins any time I've queued since the patch went live. Right there is a big, big kudos to Blizzard.

As far as the Horde side of the AV changes...well...hrmm. Let's just say I played AV as Alliance long before I ever rolled my Shaman. Frankly, it wasn't until I got my Shaman into AV that I fully grasped just how much of a starting advantage Horde really had in terms of distance from entry -> Van. Of course, not knowing this didn't give me an opportunity to QQ as Alliance (what a shame), but it also gives me no sympathy whatsoever for the wee lil hordlings entering their first AV since the patch with, "OMFG they nerfed AV we're so far back omfg omfg omfg!!"

World of Warcraft 2.4 patch notes up

Full patch notes are after the break.

Welcome to patch 2.4. There's definitely some big stuff in there. We here at WoW Insider will start poring over them now and break down what they are and what they mean. Expect tons of the news in the next few days as we get on the PTR and check everything out.

Enjoy! We're one step closer to the Sunwell!
World of Warcraft PTR Patch 2.4.0

The Sunwell Isle

* The Sunwell Isle is now available for play. This area includes a new quest hub and 5-player and 25-player instances. Join the Shattered Sun Offensive in shutting down Kael'thas' nefarious operations. This new force is comprised by both the Aldor and Scryers and is led by the Naaru. Players will take part in claiming Sun's Reach and setting up a larger base of operation to stop Kael'thas and the Legion.

Combat Log Improvements

* The combat log has undergone improvements that allow more robust combat filtering including the ability to define custom colors for enemies and friends as well as combat filtering for self and others.

God, i got gkicked out of my guild again

TLDR, skip to last few paragraphs.

I've been in the same guild on this character since level 16.
The guild leader and all officers are indescribable. They're just morons. However, there were some cool people in the (large) guild so I stayed.

Around the time that I was level 65 I was gkicked after staying up for 36 hours (no, not all playing wow...I was about to go to bed at 4 AM and checked up on wow and heard about the Mojo bug). I had been rambling about people's moms in guild chat (simply saying 'ur mom' a lot) and got gkicked after some drama with the highest ranking officer. Lulz ensued later.

Warlocks are the strongest in World Of Warcraft

Sorcerers, Mages, Warlocks, they are all essentially the same thing with minute differences. And, of them all, I would say Warlocks are the strongest.

Why?

The solution of World PvP in World of Warcraft

The concept that attracts many gamers, myself included, to the MMORPG is the prospect of exciting and engaging player-versus-player combat. For those of you who don't understand, I'll try and explain:

What engaging PvP IS:
-Spontaneous
-Large-scale
-Rewarding
-Risky (this doesn't mean item loss)
-Non-repetitive

What engaging PvP is NOT:
-Repetitive (see what I did there?)
-Limited (locations, number of participants, etc)
-Rewarding ONLY as a function of time
-Based only on simple objectives like controlling a tower

Folks, it's pretty simple. In order for PvP to be truly exciting in this game, we need large-scale battles in any location, with REAL effort and tactic involved in achieving UNIQUE rewards.

"Female" play World of Warcraft

So I decided to make a lowbie Hunter alt to break the monotony of dailies and battleground.

I picked NE because I've never really played a NE past level 10 (Good occassion to try out Azuarc's leveling guide as well) and because I figured if I ever get her to 70, shadowmeld allow some rather cheap FD/SM/drink antics in Arenas.

I picked a woman because I think male NE look goofy. I don't usually play female character (75% male chars here), so I figured it was time for another mangina.

World of Warcraft is harmful to our teens?

The parents of a teenage son who committed suicide just over a year ago claim that their son become addicted to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game, World of Warcraft. They believe that as a result of this addiction he took his own life. Now these parents are suing World of WarCraft developers Blizzard Entertainment, blaming the game developers for the tragic loss of their son.

girls play vedio games

What makes a girl play a game online? Are they looking to pick up boys? Are they so socially inept that they can’t talk to anyone in the real world? Are they just plain ugly? Or are they really just a guy pretending to be a girl?

a rare neck piece dropped in Karazhan

Last night, a rare neck piece dropped in Karazhan that wasn't on my wish list, but was a nice upgrade for me. We were heading for Oz and I really wanted the Ruby Slippers, but of course there was no guarantee they would drop. Do I take the neck piece or save the DKP for the slippers? I went ahead and took the neck piece (+51 shadow damage) and the slippers didn't drop. I would have been kicking myself if they had, though. So has anyone ever spent their DKP on something that was a nice upgrade, only to have something they REALLY wanted drop in the next fight?
