From my experience, Aldor is generally considered better for healers, and Scyer for DPS.
Also, there is a guide somewhere (that I can't find right now), that shows how close the rep rewards are.

Go Aldor. The shoulder enchant at exalted is +30AP and +10 crit.
As for questlines...just follow them. You won't encounter Aldor questlines until you reach netherstorm and shadowmoon valley.
You won't encounter Shat questlines till Terrokar Forest.
I looked you up on armory. Your itemization is good, except for your necklace and boots, but I am sure you already knew that.
high level leatherworking allows creation of some very nice mail items.

Only real difference between Scryer & Aldor is the shoulder enchant. Aldor has major AP and minor crit and Scyer has major crit minor AP. I went Aldor because it's what I was familiar with. Neither offers anything special to hunters.
As far as weapons there are three that stand out. The first one comes form Maghar quest in Hellfire if you are Horde. If you are alliance sry yer screwed they have no similar weapon. That weapon can last you pretty much till you get revered with consortium and are able to get the consortium blaster. Revered is really easy with them & that gun has better dps than any gun or bow drop in any of the 70 normal instances. I upgraded my consortium blaster to the Epic crafted gun Khorium Destroyer. Its got similar dps to the HH/Thrall exalted weapons and can be had for gold. Mine cost me 1800G. I have no idea if that was a good price but I felt it was worth it not having to grind to exalted with Thrall.
Hope this helps,
Div

Hi there-yup I'm new to this site-just signed up. I have a level 70 hunter and after looking at the options of scryer vs aldor decided aldor might be just a bit better. I'm mostly looking at solo work but plan on getting back into raiding once I'm back on active duty again and have more time to waste. There is a web site--wow.wiki--or something like that, it has side by side comparison for the two factions. I'm still playing on the blackhand server but looking to maybe move to a different server with less profane guild players. Look me up if you want-play most late eves MST
